Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks —Whether you prefer your maple-dusted creemee on a porch swing overlooking a picturesque pasture of cows or in subzero temps while selecting a freshly cut Christmas tree, Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks offers quintessentially Vermonty experiences in every season. Go for springtime sugar on snow, the fall pumpkin harvest or to feed the resident goats, James and Rex.

But Morse Farm's true raison d'être — and the best reason to visit — is its sensational maple syrup. This is Vermont's oldest maple farm: The Morse family has been perfecting their craft since the late 1700s. Grade A syrups range from Golden Delicate to Very Dark Strong and come in containers from decorative 1.7-ounce maple leaf bottles to half-liter growlers to sturdy plastic gallon jugs.

While you're there, taste test the Morses' infused syrups — vanilla, cinnamon, habañero and the richly flavored bourbon-barrel aged — and you'll be unable to leave without one. As you're checking out, throw in some maple sugar candies, spreadable maple cream and maple kettle corn. Just don't forget to stock up on the sticky marvel that brought you to the farm in the first place.
